Who you will be working with

Luke Skol, Founder

More than ten years in digital marketing. He scopes the work, runs the engagement, and is the person you deal with; the building is done by the two specialists he works with.

You deal with Luke Skol directly: the same person runs the audit, scopes the work, and answers when a process changes six months after launch.

ABQ AI Labs is three people: Luke, who comes from more than ten years in digital marketing, and two specialists who build. Our senior developer has personally written over two million lines of code, and has built and sold software companies several times across twenty years.

We bring that experience to your business through a clear scope, coordinated implementation, and one point of accountability.

  • 20+ yearsBuilding and selling software companies.

What the team brings

Engineering depth for the difficult parts.

Our specialists’ experience includes creating commercial simulation software, designing software architecture, leading multidisciplinary development teams, and integrating complex systems.

That depth matters when your project needs custom logic, dependable integrations, or software built around the way your business actually works.

AI experience that reaches into daily operations.

Previous AI work by our specialists

Our team includes builders whose previous work spans AI systems for AXL, FlashFilm Academy, FlashFilm Media, and Skol X Media.

We apply that practical experience to identifying useful applications, connecting AI with existing tools, and building workflows your team can put to work.

Business judgment behind the technology.

Our experience also comes from running businesses: managing customers, coordinating delivery, building sales systems, and making decisions about time and money.

We start with the operational problem and the value of solving it. Then we determine what to connect, automate, or build.

The people to take it from idea to implementation.

Software architecture, programming, web development, AI integration, and hands-on implementation come together under ABQ AI Labs. Your project gets the mix of experience it needs, with a coordinated path from discovery through delivery.

How we work

A business owner standing at an office window, looking out toward the Sandia mountains

We map the operation before we pick anything to build with. Who handles a job, what they decide, which systems it crosses, and where it sits waiting. That order matters: a business that shops for the tool first ends up fitting its process to the software rather than the other way round.

Most of what we implement is unglamorous. A document that no longer gets re-keyed, a follow-up that goes out on time, a report that assembles itself. The value shows up as hours returned to people whose judgment is worth more than their copy-and-paste.

We keep a person in the loop wherever a decision carries weight. Automation should remove the copying and the chasing, not the judgment.

Local, and that is a working advantage

Being based in Albuquerque means we can sit with your team and watch how the work actually happens, rather than working from a description of it. Processes are almost always different in practice than they are on paper, and the gap is usually where the opportunity is.

It also means someone stays reachable after launch, when a process changes or a system needs adjusting. We serve Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, Bernalillo County and businesses across New Mexico, and we work remotely where that suits the engagement.

Honest scope

What we will tell you not to do

  • If a process is better fixed by changing a form, reassigning a step, or switching on a feature you already pay for, that is the recommendation you will get.
  • A process that changes shape every time it runs is rarely ready to automate. Automating it early produces something brittle that quietly stops matching the work.
  • Very low-volume work often costs more to automate than it ever saves. We will show you that arithmetic rather than let you discover it afterwards.
  • Work that depends on regulated clinical data is scoped case by case, and we will say when it falls outside what we should take on.

Tell us what’s slowing your business down.

Bring the process, the bottleneck, or the idea. We’ll help you identify what’s worth building and what it will take to make it work.
